All of the nuts and seeds we sell are Certified Organic except the Macadamias (wildcrafted and organically grown). None have been heated in any way, irradiated, or fumigated. A note about shipping.....The order form will show the total of the food only. When you place your order, we will then e-mail you with an invoice that includes your actual shipping charge. Unless you have a specific preference on shipping, we will always use the cheapest shipping method. You will pay only actual shipping costs and only after you receive our invoice, so there are no surprises. More information is available on our shipping page. Available Discount If you pay by check, or Paypal e-check/instant transfer (which is when you already have funds in your Paypal account), we will give you a 3% discount. Certified Organic Almonds - $12.50/lb  We currently carry the Carmel variety of raw and unheated almonds. They have not been subjected to any heat (besides the sun) and have been frozen during processing to kill insects.
 Organically Grown Macadamia Nuts - $16.00/lb Out of stock until Fall 2008 Harvest
We are absolutely thrilled to have found our macadamia nut farmer. He takes macadamias very seriously and realizes the importance of drying at low temps to preserve enzymes. These have been dried at room temperature and are very fresh! No chemicals or fertilizers of any kind are used - trees are just watered. These have not been frozen, however the farmer tells us that freezing is just fine. Minimize exposure to moisture (condensation) and air to maintain freshness.
 Certified Organic Pecans (in-shell) - $5.50/lb Most organic pecans are washed in chlorinated water and dried with heat to remove excess moisture. These are California-grown and have been washed in well-water and have been air-dried only. No heat used. Frozen during processing to kill insects. Note: These are in-shell pecans. We include the shelled pecans in the picture to show how light in color these are. The reason you see darker ones other places is because they have been subjected to heat. We recommend washing the shells off prior to cracking as they still have some dirt on them.
 Certified Organic Domestic Sunflower Seeds - $6.00/lb Out of stock until Fall 2008 harvest. We are so excited about these! All of the sunflower seeds in the stores are from China since the US crops are smaller and cost more. These are domestically-grown seeds that have not been frozen. No heat used. There are no more domestic sunflower seeds available this year. We expect more in Fall 2008 and will send an e-mail to all that are on our mailing list when they are available.
 Certified Organic Chandler Walnuts - $10.50/lb These sweet and yummy English walnuts have been air-dried only and shelled on walnut-only machine (no other nuts shelled on this machine). Most walnuts are dried at high heats to remove excess moisture. These have not been frozen and have been kept under refrigeration since shelled. Mostly halves with some pieces. Keep refrigerated to maintain freshness. While we have not had any problems with pests, if you have concerns about this, you may want to freeze them. Refrigeration is best to maintain the integrity of the nut. Caution: may contain shell pieces.
